South Kilburn Voices
We are the Transition Team, tasked with finding a group of local residents to help guide the future of South Kilburn.
Is that you? We hope so!

About
We are forming an interim group called the South Kilburn Residents Panel, which will work with local organisations to make sure residents’ voices shape what happens in South Kilburn.
This panel will eventually help guide a group of elected residents from the wider community to lead the way, so that changes in South Kilburn continue to truly reflect local voices.
One of the panel’s first big tasks will be choosing 3 to 5 members to join a Social Value Community Panel to interview developers bidding to deliver the next stage of regeneration, asking them how they will work with and support our community.

The Transition team is a team of 6 South Kilburn residents including TRA chairs of William Dunbar and Willam Saville, Albert Road, and Alpha, Gorefield and Canterbury, and 4 local partners including Granville Community Kitchen, Global Skills Centre, South Kilburn Trust, and Brent Health Matters. Our Goal is to select the South Kilburn Residents Panel and support it in the process of representing South Kilburn and building an action plan for future change.
South Kilburn Residents Panel
We are recruiting a panel of 8 - 12 residents that that represents the many sides of South Kilburn: all ages, ethnicities, genders and housing tenures are welcome - and encouraged!
The panel will be responsible for:
-
Contributing to strategic discussions and decisions
-
Reflecting community perspectives
-
Helping shape a South Kilburn Community Plan
-
Supporting wider engagement with local residents
-
Building on the evidence base of community needs.
We are looking for residents that:
-
Are committed to improving South Kilburn
-
Can reflect a wide range of community views
-
Can work collaboratively with other residents and partner organisations
-
Are understanding of, or interested in local issues

Social Value Community Panel
Brent Council is seeking a development partner for the remainder of the South Kilburn regeneration project. A key part of this process is the selection of a partner who shares the ambition to deliver high-quality homes, inclusive regeneration, and long-term benefits for the local community.

To ensure community voices are central to this decision, Brent Council are seeking to engage a Community Panel to participate meaningfully in the developer partner selection process.
The Social Value Community Panel will:
-
Receive training to better equip them to make this decision on behalf of the community.
-
Work alongside the South Kilburn Residents Panel.
